Poster Presentation winners were announced with the first-place prize ($500) awarded to Ransom-Everglades student, Joseph Gross, et al. for “Machine Learning for Metal Identification in Water Samples using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS).”
The theme of VizUM 2019 “Uncertainty in Visualizatio” is based on Alberto’s latest book “How Charts Lie: Getting Smarter About Visual Information”.
On November 15th, 2018, the University of Miami hosted its fifth annual VizUM Symposium. This year’s event was coupled with its first ever Visualization Competition.
VizUM 2018 has been scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2018, 4:00-7:00 PM. The VizUM Visualization Competition finalists’ projects will be presented.
We are extending the submission deadline to July 23, 2018. Please take another look at the details of what and how to submit.
Checkpoint #2, the “Analysis & Prototype Checkpoint”, will give you the opportunity to get feedback on your project from the Organizing Committee.
