An Associate Professor in the Civil, Architectural, and Evnironmental Engineering Department, Ali Ghahremaninezhad is interested in: Computational Materials Science and Engineering, Modeling Bio-Inpired Composite Materials for Improved Damage Resistance, Modeling Proteins-Interactions, and Modeling Genetically Engineering Self-Healing Concrete.
A graduate of the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran (BS Civil Engineering and MS in Structural Engineering), Ali received his PhD in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Texas at Austin. His primary field of research is Bio-inspired Infrastructure Materials for Improved Sustainability and Resiliency.
Ali was awarded the Provost Research Award in 2016 and 2018, and received a National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2018.
