The Big Data Analytics & Data Mining program seeks to conduct research in other application domains. The Big Data team is currently engaged in the following application domains:
- Biological Experiment Data Analysis (protein-protein interaction and gene expression) / High Dimensional Biological Data)
- Music Data Analysis (acoustic signals, lyrics, and user-access data) / Music Information Retrieval
- Theoretical Modeling of Biological Systems
- Genomic Sequence Analysis
- Document Analysis
CCS Member Dr. Wangda Zuo Receives NSF Grants for Smart Cities Research
Congratulations to CCS’s newest Member, Dr. Wangda Zuo! An Assistant Professor in the Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Miami College of Engineering, Dr. Zuo runs the Sustainable Building Systems Laboratory (SBS Lab), which focuses on developing cutting edge modeling and simulation technology and applying them to reduce building energy and water consumption […]
CCS participated in “Big Data Day” in Oderzo, Italy, Friday 5/20/2016
Is Big Data determining the end of theory? What criteria must be satisfied by data-driven hypotheses in order to govern the new thinking behind knowledge and development?
“Current Issues in Data Mining” Symposium offered insight
