The Visualization Program is a cross disciplinary effort whose mission is to develop and improve the core technologies for comprehensive computational modeling, simulation, analysis, and visualization of natural and synthetic phenomena including research activity in computational mathematics, engineering, and geographical information systems. The group also is involved in developing integrated approaches to computational modeling, mathematical analysis and interrogative visualization, especially for dynamic engineering, biomedical, epidemiological and geophysical applications.
Places and Spaces: Mapping Science is an exhibit of 100 visualizations tracking global scientific progress. The exhibit comes to UM in Fall 2014.
